Once again the Prince St. stop on the N/R line was almost more people than could fit on the sidewalk. Hundreds of people must have walked under our sign. And we got a lot more positive responses than usual. Very few negative. And a good conversation of two.

The conversations are important on many levels. When people see others talking to us, it promotes curiosity, and the sense that we are approachable. Most often when one person starts talking to us, others join them. Also, in these conversations with people who agree or not with our position we are able to convey our reasonable approach and genuine concern for the issues we address.

A few new people, the same old flyers, and the same old controversy about leadership. It seems there are now three organizations promoting 9/11 truth on the streets of NYC, NY911Truth, NYC911Truth, and TruthMove. While all of these people have worked together in the past, strategic difference have lead us to form our own projects. However, when we are all at Ground Zero, we do our best to present a unified front.

We took the sign to Broadway and Houston, and headed south, ending up at Prince St. The intersection was a bottleneck, and seemed far too small for the amount of traffic trying to pass. We extended the sign on its poles for the whole time, and stood right on the corner. Many people walked under. Tens of thousands passed.

As usual, we handed out most of our flyers, and had some interesting conversations. A couple of young men, who seemed more amused than anything, approached us with a refreshingly open attitude. They may have thought we were misguided, but had the curiosity and civility to listen to our concerns. And of course, with that approach there were many things we could agree upon, and they walked away with a couple of new facts that may cause a bit of cognitive dissonance.

Also present was Mark Roberts, our resident debunker, who seems totally committed to questioning our methods and the evidence we offer the public. He is often at Ground Zero interrupting conversations that 9/11 truth activists are having with the public and presenting refutations of our claims. In spite of his intentions, he seems to draw a great deal of attention our way, and touches far fewer people with his message than we do with ours.

Charlie, a NYC 9/11 truth regular, came down with his TV and started showing people footage of the WTC7 collapse. These images are captivating, and get people to ask questions. And Luke, a local organizer, invited the son of a man who lost his life on 9/11 to join the demonstration. Many people who approached with a negative attitude quickly backtracked when they realized that they were talking to one of the 9/11 family members.

This event left us feeling excited about the development of the 9/11 truth movement in NYC. There were fresh faces, and movement veterans. There was an air of cooperation, and a willingness to debate. We don’t have to agree about everything to be on the same side. But we really should be learning as much as we can from one another. We each have different talents.

While we were there a police officer walked up and asked us if we had a permit. I said we didn’t need one with a big smile on my face. He mentioned the poles as if they were a problem, and I told him that they were perfectly legal. He asked us how long were would be there. I said we’d be leaving before long. He wandered off.

Hoping to find a more engaging location we walked down to the Bryant Park. At the northwest corner we found some room to set up and heavy foot traffic in two directions. Here we were better able to draw attention and engage in discussion. We had some good interactions with both supportive and antagonistic people.

It was Veteran’s Day, and we experienced a diverse response from vets and those in the military. A number of soldiers walked by and had no response at all. A couple took our flyers. One older marine vet stared us down, saying nothing, and only turning his big cigar in his mouth. He looked really angry. Later, we talked to a young Iraq vet who fully supported our cause, and specifically believed that 9/11 was an inside job.
