How about an inter/national nonviolent movement to take back the media? This is the one idea that came out of the Santa Cruz conference that keeps popping into my head.
it would be a broad, decentralized population of activists, all of whom realize the urgency of the media situation
it would operate on many levels, from letter writing, phone calls, to boycotts, to militant civil disobedience (literally occupying corporate media buildings, etc.), allowing the participation of the widest collection of activists
it would be particularly symbolic in a country that prides itself on a supposedly "free" and "democratic" media
when the media tries to ignore it, it would only make our message more poignant and we will simply be more persistent and militant.
modeled somewhat on the 11th of the month campaign (it could even be on the same day or another monthly date, and cosmos has already expressed support for this idea)
