I never completely bought in to him because he always made a point to denigrate people building bridges and doing hard research like Nafeez Ahmed, John Judge and Kyle Hence. In every lecture and radio show in the 2005 period when Tarpley was building credibility, he would always criticize how they would not take an overt MIHOP position. Forget that they were representing 9/11 Citizen's Watch, which is a non-profit and is not legally allowed to take a position like that as an organization. He criticized Nafeez Ahmed for quoting Gerald Posner, of JFK/Case Closed fame, in the "War on Truth," but Ahmed uses Posner as an example of a mainstream historical perspective rather than a source he fully agrees with.
He also gains some credibility by maintaining a somewhat leftist stance on certain issues (ie. criticism of Ron Paul and free-markets). His overall political views are definitely Lyndon LaRouche, whether they are still linked or not. His focus on who to blame class-interest-wise is always Wall St. and never a serious attempt at looking at the intelligence agencies and military contractors (when it comes to these, they are always the "invisible government"). George Bush and George Schultz are individuals who he focuses on, he always puts down environmental causes similar to LaRouche, idealistic praise of FDR. When he begins discussing politics outside of 9/11 and false-flag terror, he sounds just like LaRouche.
His approach is classic bait-and-switch. He brings you in with an interesting discussion of drills or Able Danger and then the solution is the bridge-destroying "100% MIHOP"
I'd also like to point out that his book has no footnotes, just a bibliography.
Excellent observation Arabesque about minimizing the role of Cheney. I remember in New York someone asked him about Minetta's testimony at the 9/11 Commission and he dismissed it as the "invisible government" putting focus on Cheney I believe.
