We we're all penned in front of the Path train station, the usual 9/11 truth spot, and the interfaith walk for peace arrived.

They sat down right in front of and among all of us and began a prayer for peace, with drums and chanting. You may recall that last year one of them asked Max and I to join them with our banner. This year they came to join all of us.
And we held up our fingers up in peace in recognition of their prayer. And then the rain started coming down. And we all stood our ground as everyone else ran for cover under the new tent over the Path train entrance.
And it started raining harder than rain I've ever seen before. And a flood of water was passing in front of us, under the interfaith walkers at the end of their 215 mile journey, dividing us for a moment from the police and all the couple hundred people who were caught by the rain and captivated by what they saw.
Soon a young girl, sitting the in the flood with them them started to cry with incredible loss. Sitting in front of everyone, she cried for all of us.
