This is as bad as it gets. Which is just a bit comforting. They do seem a bit befuddled, trotting out all the usual smear tactics. It's no accident that Posner compared us to Holocaust deniers. And can you believe that they are still bringing it all back to the victims and family members? They say we are a disgrace, and yet their disrespect of those family members who question the official story is a direct indication of their condescension and bias. And then they call themselves "journalists."
This story makes some interesting claims about the next version of Loose Change. I wonder if they are true. If so, the release of the movie might be a real watershed event, just as it might come to motivate the distinction between the reputable core of the movement, and those offering distracting fallacies. For better or worse, change is coming.
For the moment, we can only hope for the best. But LC3 will have to be a totally new movie to avoid the problems of its predecessors. With any major misrepresentations, the movie will make our struggle to well represent this issue, even more challenging. Unless is really good, and they try to ignore it, the movie will be widely debunked by mainstream sources, giving the media plenty of ammunition with which to claim that the movement can be dismissed.
I suppose my biggest hope is that they include a list of resources at the end, or in some way point their audience to further information. They need to reference the movement, and make the movie look a bit less monolithic.
We'll just have to wait and see.
