ultimately the mRNA vaccines are an example for that cell and gene therapy. I always like to say: if we had surveyed two years ago in the public – ‘would you be willing to take a gene or cell therapy and inject it into your body?’ – we probably would have had a 95% refusal rate”

Fauci and others discuss how a "New Pearl Harbor" type situation will allow them to fast track the approval process for this new vaccine technology from the expected 10 year time span (October 2019): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsCwPfsb7C4

Also, CDC had to change the definition of "vaccine" on their website to accommodate these new "vaccines":

The prior CDC Definitions of Vaccine and Vaccination (August 26, 2021):

Vaccine: A product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but can also be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.

The CDC Definitions of Vaccine and Vaccination since September 1, 2021:

Vaccine: A preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases. Vaccines are usually administered through needle injections, but some can be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose.

Vaccination: The act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce protection from a specific disease.

Here's a Biontech SEC filing from 2019. It says very clearly:

mRNA therapies have been classified as gene therapy

No mRNA immunotherapy has been approved, and none may ever be approved. mRNA drug development has substantial clinical development and regulatory risks due to the novel and unprecedented nature of this new category of therapeutics.

Reuters Fact Check says no. But they do not address any of the above. Also, notice the disparity between the clear headline and the less-clear quotes from the body of the article and their "Verdict."

Fact Check-mRNA vaccines are distinct from gene therapy, which alters recipient’s genes
    https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-covid-mr...

Vaccines that use mRNA technology are not gene therapy because they do not alter your genes, experts have told Reuters after contrary claims were posted online.

    ...

“As mRNA is genetic material, mRNA vaccines can be looked at as a genetic-based therapy, but they are classified as vaccines and are not designed to alter your genes,” said Dr Adam Taylor, a virologist and research fellow at the Menzies Health Institute, Queensland, Griffith University.

    ...

    VERDICT

Missing context. Scientists told Reuters that while mRNA vaccines can be considered “genetic-based therapy” because they use genetic code from COVID-19, they are not technically gene therapy. This is because the mRNA does not change the body’s genetic makeup.

www.RespectfulInsolence.com has several detailed articles about why this type of vaccine is not "gene therapy." Worrying about semantics about what a vaccine is or is not is mere distraction.

Bottom line: nearly all of the million official dead covid victims in America were unvaccinated.

The hospital closest to me treated a thousand people for covid last year between April and August, 30 were vaccinated.
