I knew about the NRO evacuation probably about 2007.
I'm not clear on whether you believe the fireproofing was "shivered" off the steel from the impact. I'm not aware that the government made any effort to demonstrate fireproof shivering. They did shoot some fireproofed steel with a shotgun to demonstrate . . . something.
Since the planes were banked, any destruction of fireproofing by aluminum shrapnel would have been in a narrow swath on any particular floor.
And then there's the fact that the government tells us that the jet fuel burned off in less than ten minutes, and that office fires only burn in one place for 20 minutes (30 at most) before all the fuel is exhausted and they have to move on to a new source of fuel.
So you can't have floor-wide fires. If you did, they would have burned out in 30 minutes. And both towers stood longer than that. The photographic evidence does not support the notion of floor-wide fires.
Steel does not have to melt to lose strength, but the government's core steel samples only show heating to 250 degrees C (480 F). That's not hot enough to weaken the steel.
I don't know where you get your intense hostility to the call for new investigations of the destruction of the towers. The petition now has 3020 signatories, credentialed by degree. That includes 4 Stanford PhD engineers, and 12 Stanford MS engineers. Do you think these guys put their professional reputations on the line because they are Alex Jones fans?
