When I saw these 21 year olds streaming into New York in 2007, I called them Hipster-Fascists. They were fashionable and ready to party but they seemed completely devoid of political awareness. Everything was about glossiness and superficiality--the clothes, the music, the attitude. The grit was entirely contrived.
Most of these people probably voted for Clinton, because, of course, that's what you're supposed to do. But they are also they types who will swallow a Trump administration. They're attitude and lifestyle are well suited to fascism.
Jared Kushner is the type of young elite who saw this demographic and knew how to use it. He sees the possibilities for a fascist millenial. They work in tech and "creative" fields with an illusion of dynamism and progress. They care about "community" and "culture." They see the world getting better, more exciting.
Here's a video for one of his recent developments in Brooklyn:

HE IS the smiling, Sphinx-like presence that propelled Donald Trump to victory. In the final anxious days of the campaign, Mr Trump was said to have taken comfort in “the soothing, whispery voice of his son-in-law†Jared Kushner, who could now be playing a far more significant role than soother-in-chief.
