Just got an email from Carol Brouillet listing these upcoming events. Is Annie Machon credible? Her and Shayler seem to be a close duo, so I can't say I'd be likely to trust her...

This is worth reading:

Maybe we can find some better sources than that particular site for questioning Machon/Shayler. The logic in that article is not all that sound.
While I agree with a lot of what the site says, it seems to be solely dedicated to making the 9/11 TM look stupid and crazy (something that is not very hard to do). I see a couple feeble attempts at "objectivity," but I'm not at all convinced:
One reason why sensible people often shy away from 9/11 & 7/7 cultists is the wacky things they say, often defying logic, reason & life itself. Laugh along as we bring you a few--more invited. At some point we will post brief profiles of the main 'players' in this movement here. The underlying question is how many (definitely some) of these people utter zany things precisely in order to help cover up what the powers-that-be really get up to.
It is not our intention, or within our capabilities currently, to provide an exhaustive list of all research. Rather, we will highlight resources either apposite in terms of debunking 9/11 and 7/7 cult bullshit, or on the other hand make a real contribution to research. Inclusion here does not imply total agreement--some research we have important differences with but nonetheless think worth study--the writings of Nafeez Ahmed for instance. Again, suggestions welcome.
Hey Arabesque, I couldn't find any info about Shayler on your site. Is there anything I missed or might you consider writing an article about him?

Well...
[9/11 Cultwatch] seems to be solely dedicated to making the 9/11 TM look stupid and crazy
Yes that sums them up, they claim that they want to work with "a sensible reality-oriented minority inside the 9/11 Truth campaign"... "those genuinely committed to evidence-based parapolitical research" but in reality they don't -- they just label anyone who questions the "official" story as conspiraloons and have no interest in engaging with people like us.
If you want to read more on them you could start with this thread, Dazzled by Disinfo: 911cultwatch.org.uk, http://truthaction.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2389 in which I wrote:
The main problem I have with 911cultwatch.org.uk is that by failing to separate the disinformation from the good information (for example the overwhelming evidence for controlled demolition) they end up performing the same role as the MSM and the debunking sites, but from the left -- I have heard many lefties / anarchist / anti-capitalist types cite 911cultwatch.org.uk as proof that there is nothing of substance in any of the criticism of the official story of 911, this is the function they appear to serve.
I really don't know about Annie Machon, she split up with David Shayler a while ago, the London We Are Change people work with her and trust her, the main 9/11 project she seems to be working on the the European group, http://www.911truth.eu/ there is also a thread about her and David Shayler on Truth Action: http://truthaction.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2394

It's true, I've ignored him for the moment. Always too many topics to write about!
I do endorse Ashley's essay:
Discrediting By Association: Undermining the Case for Patriots Who Question 9/11 http://911research.wtc7.net/essays/patriots_questi...
I don't know about Machon, but I'm not getting a good feeling about her based on what I have read.

This recent press release from 9/11 Cultwatch tells you all you need to know about them...

I think the quotes from Mick Meaney are from posts he made on nineeleven.co.uk ages ago, more on him here: http://truthaction.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2594

Wikileaks is promoting Annie Machon.

Don't want to dump on Ms. Machon because (who knows) maybe she's pushing good things for good reason today.
I do remember she promoted a lot of crazy stuff in the past and when I suggested that she was too smart to believe the bullshit she had promoted she changed the subject.
