    HistoryCommons.org - 2001 Anthrax Timeline Updated http://911reports.wordpress.com/2008/09/15/history...

    Article by Erik Larson

The 2001 Anthrax Attacks Timeline at HistoryCommons.org (aka CooperativeResearch.org) has been moved from The Complete 9/11 Timeline to the main Timelines page, and updated with the recent developments regarding the FBI’s Anthrax investigations. New entries include the clearing of Steven Hatfill, the death of Bruce Ivins and the FBI’s case against him, and the objections and questions being raised by experts, mainstream media and critics, and members of Congress. The 2001 Anthrax Attacks Timeline now has nearly 200 unique entries, and like all the Timelines at HistoryCommons.org, it will continue to grow as new and old information comes out.

In addition to The Complete 9/11 Timeline and the 2001 Anthrax Attacks Timeline, there are more than 25 other unique Timelines hosted by HistoryCommons.org, and more coming. All of the Timelines focus on public interest issues that are frequently distorted or blacked out by corporate media, politicians and pundits- for instance, History of US Interventions, Domestic Propaganda, Military Analysts, and the US Media, Inquiry into the Decision to Invade Iraq, Iraq Under US Occupation, US Confrontation with Iran, Loss of Civil Liberties Since 9/11, US Healthcare System, Hurricane Katrina and many more. HistoryCommons.org aims to make complete and reliable histories of the people and events related to the subjects of the Timelines, and they are based solely on mainstream sources; public statements made and records created by government agencies and officials, and mainstream media, institutions and individuals.

Editing of Timelines at HistoryCommons.org is open to the general public. It’s free to register as a user and input material; once you’ve made a certain number of entries you also gain privileges to edit. This means if you find any information that’s missing or portrayed incorrectly, you can add or edit it yourself, and help to clarify the public’s understanding of an issue. The crowd-powered nature of this media serves to fill in blanks and catch errors, ultimately creating a resource that is frequently more complete and accurate both in the details and the big picture, than the information provided by any individual or group of mainstream media or government agencies.
