The Bilderberg Meeting is taking place at the Westfields Marriott Hotel, Chantilly, VA, June 6-8, 2008.

I'm in the middle of "The Mighty Wurlitzer"

I was slow starting but it's starting to pick up. Very interesting. Some of the dymanics we see when Bilderbergers come up remind me of a few anecdotes in the book. I might even get a blog out of it.

What's important to remember about the "Billys"(just got tired of typing the name) is that rich and influential people have been meeting since Imperial civilizations became dominant to see how the can get more riches and influence.

Don't bollox the point up by dragging in spookyness where it's not needed. Change the way money works. Make a new economy that will put the rich parasties out of business no matter what they or we call them.

Completely agree. The title of this thread was a reference to the spooky sensationalism I saw in a short clip of Alex Jones' "Endgame."

Focusing too much on figureheads and "evil enemies" distracts us from a truly institutional and personal critique.

Check the first thirty seconds. That's all I could stomach.

    Here's that Endgame link:

"I'm Jim Tucker. I've chased Bilderberg for 30 years. I'll never give up the chase. Bilderberg plan for our whole world is nothing less that a world government. They are the elitists. They feel that they should run the world for their own selfish interests. Bilderberg is making great progress toward a world government, and only an educated and informed public can stop them in their tracks."

An interesting view on this perspective in an article by Michael Parenti: THE JFK ASSASSINATION II: CONSPIRACY PHOBIA ON THE LEFT

After providing this useful description of institutional conspiracy, Domhoff then conjures up a caricature that often clouds the issue: "We all have a tremendous tendency to want to get caught up in believing that there's some secret evil cause for all of the obvious ills of the world." Conspiracy theories "encourage a belief that if we get rid of a few bad people, everything will be well in the world."

To this simplistic notion Peter Dale Scott responds: "I believe that a true understanding of the Kennedy assassination will lead not to a few bad people but to the institutional and parapolitical arrangements which constitute the way we are systematically governed." In sum, national security state conspiracies are components of our political structure, not deviations from it.
